Photograph article dated January 6, 1961 partially reads, "A fast-moving football game was in progress recently at the Charles L. Lowman School in North Hollywood, and the sidelines were screaming, "Go, go, go," as the quarterback approached the opposition end field. Bedlam broke loose when the ball carrier cracked the defense and raced across the goal line in his wheel chair. Then a bell ending the recess rang and exited kids chattering about the merits of the game trooped back to classes at the Valley's only public elementary school for the physically handicapped." Youngsters exercise on special Merry-Go-Round. Stephanie Meyers and Jeanne Ballister, both 5, enjoy the ride.
