Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated July 3, 1962 reads, "Robert Cable, 32; his wife, Sally, 30; and their two daughters, Deborah, 11, and Laura, 4, were in good condition today following their rescue Monday morning by Imperial and Riverside County Sheriff's deputies. Cable, his wife and Deborah spent more than 16 hours in the waters of the sea, supported by life belts and preservers, after becoming separated from their 16-foot outboard motor by a sudden wind. Laura drifted alone in the boat and was rescued some two hours after her parents and sister were picked up by a pair of fishermen."
