Description
Annotation translation: "The women are weeping for someone long since dead. The grave is under the small pile of earth. A small stone plate covers an opening through which oil, wine etc is poured as an offering to the deceased." Annotation: "Die Frauen beweinen einen schon längst Verstorbenen. Das Grab ist unter dem kleinen Erdhügel. Eine kl. Steinplatte bedeckt eine Öffnung, durch die dem Verstorbenen Öl, Wein u.s.w. geopfert wird durch Hineingiessen." Stamped: "Museum der Basler Mission, Basel, Missionsstrasse 21."
