Description
Photograph of a view of deserted Main Street in the mining town of Shasta, built in the early 1850's, ca.1935. A row of brick buildings extends away from the camera from right. The buildings appear run down. They are all single-story structures except for a two-story building at center and another one at left. There are two utility poles lined up parallel to the buildings at left, and in the foreground at right is a pile of rubble. There is a sign on the side of the foremost building that reads "Star Tobacco".
