"Der Frauenverein in Goedverwacht singt für Bruder Baudert." ("The women's association in Goedverwacht is singing for Brother Baudert."). The picture shows 10 African women standing in a circle on a porch singing. Most are wearing long white dresses and white headscarfs. Trees in the background to the left. The picture was probably taken by Samuel Baudert (1879-1956), born as son of the missionary Samuel Baudert in South Africa. He was the mission director of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine from 1924 to 1927 and since 1929 their bishop. It might also be possible that the picture was taken by Eugen Theodor Baudert (1876-1953) who worked as a lecturer at the theological seminar in Mvenyane.
