Photograph of a sitting room in the Shatto mansion, ca.1900. There is a rocking chair at center, a low-backed chair at left, and a matching sofa and armchair in the background at right. Floral-print curtains cover two windows at the back of the room, and several paintings hang from the walls. A chandelier hangs from the ceiling at center. The walls and the ceiling are adorned with an intricate floral pattern, and a large rug covers the floor. Printed on back of photoprint: "M.B. Howard, view photographer, 147 (originally 124, is crossed out) South Main Street, Los Angeles, California".
