Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1899-1989.
Singing cowboy star (and future Angels owner) Gene Autry exchanges uniforms with Hollywood Stars outfielder Babe Herman. In the off-season Herman was Gary Cooper's double during the "Pride of the Yankees" shoot. At the time, Cooper was a part-owner of the Stars. Photograph dated: June 30, 1938.
