Description
"The heart of the dormitory water system. From here the water flows through bamboo pipes to the washrooms. The tower in the background is the watch-tower for the night watchman. The new dining-hall will occupy the graveyard." Building to the right, watchtower and another compound in the background. At right, a man pours a bucket of water down a brick pipe.
["Nanking" on the negative envelope indicates that this picture comes from the period during which Nanking University relocated to the WCUU campus - approximately 1937-45.]
