Description
Photograph of a group of women seated in a horse-drawn float in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, ca.1905. The float is facing to the left and is being pulled by a team of at least four dapple gray horses with light-colored harnesses. The float is a large wagon covered with flowers and leaves, and the wheels are covered with foliage as well. There are nine people seated in the wagon. A man dressed as a squire is sitting near the front and holding the reins of the horses, and seven women wearing white dresses adorned with hearts are seated behind him. Sitting high on the back of the float is a woman dressed as a queen, complete with a crown. Another man dressed as a squire is riding a light-colored horse at right, and a large house is visible in the background.
