Description
Behind a chicken-wire fence, a cactus, and palm is the Rafael Bayse Adobe in Montebello, built in 1869 on property owned by Walter P. Temple. The single story adobe, shown with several windows and a covered walkway underneath the extended roof, existed until 1937. An oil derrick is visible on the left.
