Description
An advertising postcard giving notice that Mrs. Frohman was offering Japanese "novelties" for sale, Los Angeles, postmarked 1908 January 22. The front of the card has a color image of woman in Japanese costume holding an umbrella over her head. To the right is the text of the notice, specifying that the seller had just returned from Japan and China and was offering a variety of items, including dresses, kimonos, jade, bronze, silver, and antique porcelain. On the reverse is an address and a note that the sale was for "Hotel Van Nuys / Friday only." With stamps, soiling, edge rubbing and browning, the overall condition is fair.
