Image of Christopher Columbus lying on his deathbed surrounded by men praying for him, including priests with cross and rosary; print produced for the World's Fair Columbian Exhibition.
"Copyright 1893 by L. Prang & Co. Boston."--text, bottom left margin. "Published by the Prang Educational Co., Boston, U.S.A."--text, bottom right margin. "Columbus died, May 20, 1506, at a poor inn at Valladolid, Spain. His last words were: 'Into thy hands, O Lord, I commend my soul.' He died 18 months after Isabella, the Queen of Spain. Ferdinand, her consort, gave him a grand funeral. In 1536 Columbus' remains were taken to the New World, and they are now at Havana."--text, bottom center margin.
