Notice of Public Auction for the Auzerais Property of San Jose, California, to be sold on Tuesday, January 22, 1929 at the Banquet Room, St. Claire Hotel, by Phillips and Hollman, Inc., Owners. Includes a map of the property on the corner of Market Street and Santa Clara Street. "The Auzerais Property located on the North Line of Santa Clara Street, 137 ft. west of First Street...It is the intention of the owners of this large valuable down-town holding to dismantle the present building and subdivide the lot into six smaller parcels, affording many combinations for Santa Clara Street frontage with a large or smaller rear area suitable for the construction of a large theater, department store, automobile establishment, garage, market, and many other forms of commercial construction."
