Description
Photograph of a painting depicting the church of the Mission San Jose de Guadalupe after the earthquake of 1868, ca.1900. The roof of the church is pictured in disrepair its beams are showing and the cross that topped it has tumbled to the side. The front wall has cracked in several places. The cloisters that extend from the church to the right, however, appear to be unharmed. A cemetery is visible to the left, while a picket fence is visible in front.
