At the Long Beach Airport, a National Transportation Safety Board investigator examines the cockpit of the Piper PA-28-181 Archer that collided in mid-air with Aerome´xico Flight 498, a DC-9, over Cerritos. The collision killed 67 people aboard both aircraft and 15 people on the ground. Photograph dated August 31, 1986.
