Photograph caption dated December 23, 1958 reads "North Hollywood High's slashing fullback Nick McLean was named player-of-the-year for the Valley League today by the Helms All-Southern California Board of Football. McLean scored 117 points during the season and rushed for 1,200 yards. The 193 pound fullback is a senior but will be on the Husky track team this spring."
