Photograph caption dated April 30, 1960 reads, "Robert Johnson, 13-year-old Boy Scout of Troop 223, received his Eagle Scout badge from his mother, Mrs. John Johnson, 6734 Tobias St., at Court of Honor ceremonies in Knights of Columbus Hall, Valerio street and Van Nuys boulevard. His father, rear and Scoutmaster John Huckestien took part in the presentation. Robert, who hopes to become an Explorer Scout, is the first member of Troop 223 to receive the top scouting honor. He's an eighth grader at St. Elizabeth's School in Van Nuys."
