Newhall, named after businessman Henry Newhall, is the southernmost and oldest district of Santa Clarita. Prior to the 1987 consolidation into the city of Santa Clarita, it was an unincorporated town.
Photograph caption dated December 15, 1954 reads "Administration offices for Superintendent Irvin A. Shimmin and his staff will be relocated in new unit pictured above. William S. Hart High School in Newhall boasts also a new library and plans are drafted for additional health facilities."; See images #00141063 through #00141064 for all photos in this series.
