Dr. Leo Stanley, Mildred Bissinger, and former Judge Hadden Roth, seen here organizing materials from Dr. Stanley's personal collection, August 1972. Dr. Stanley was the prison doctor at San Quentin Prison for 38 years. His collection, which includes books, photographs, papers, and scrapbooks reflect his interest in the history and operation of the institution. His collection was donated to the Anne T. Kent California Room of the Marin County Free Library.
