Black and white lantern slide showing missionaries from the Peruvian Inland Mission and a native evangelist with a local man and two young boys. The local man wears beads around his neck and rolls up his trousers. The man may be a porter on a missionary trek, or may live in the forest. A camp fire can be seen in the foreground of the picture. A shelter made of branches with a palm roof is in the background. The Peruvian Inland Mission missionaries in the picture are: Miss Mary Taverner (tall, with glasses and hand on hip) Miss Myrtle Cooper (large framed lady in centre) and Miss Edyth Mary Vinall (carrying towel). This slide comes from a collection created by the Peruvian Inland Mission, an evangelical mission started in 1930 by Miss Annie G Soper in northeast Peru, which was administered by the evangelical interdenominational mission, Regions Beyond Missionary Union from 1948.
