Description
Photograph of a man bending over a mail box on the corner of Temple Street and Spring Street in Los Angeles, July 1936. The man is wearing a light-colored coat, dark pants, and a light hat. He is placing a newspaper into the large metal post box, which is located near the curb. The large paved intersection of Temple and Spring is visible in the distance, and a theatre can be seen in the background at left. The mailbox reads "Throwing rubbish in street violation of ordinance 41980", while the movie theatre advertises "Malditas of Las Mujeres" and "Song of the Saddle".
