View of two large two-storey buildings built right next to one another; on the right is a brick building; 1st has windows & on second floor three tall windows with a balcony in front and an overhanging roof with a small roof comb on top; next door is a white two story building with two second story sections, both with balconies in front; section on the left has an overhanging roof with 3 tall windows; section on the right and next to the brick building has no overhanging roof but does have three tall windows; a larger roof comb is on the white building; a car is parked in front. Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento. "Building torn down in 1936. Old Chinese Masonic 'Society' to the left..."
