Description
A whippet makes friends with a sheepdog as handlers stand guard at the Culver City Kennel Club race track. A man rests on a car's running board as a sheepdog sits in front. Greyhound racing began at the Club in 1932 but was shut down in 1936 when Superior Judge Lewis Howell declared betting on dog races to be illegal.
