Description
Portrait of Frank Wiggins, who joined the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce in 1890 and later served as its superintendent, secretary, and general manager of exhibits, and also founded the Frank Wiggins Trade School (later the Los Angeles Trade-Technical College).
"Scholl & Kleckner. Byrne Building, Los Angeles"--text, printed in margins. "Lindsey" and "Frank Wiggins, a Quaker, he and his wife, Amanda, always, with friends, used 'Thee and Thou.' They wanted children. She had many misscariages [i.e. miscarriages], the last at 52." Title devised by cataloger; date devised by cataloger based on history of photography firm (see Carl Mautz, Biographies of Western Photographers, page 138).
