Walter Mosley discusses his book, “Cinnamon Kiss.” He explains that in the novel the protagonist, Easy Rawlins, finds himself in desperate need of money, in order to pay for medical treatment for his daughter. In an attempt to acquire the funds he takes a job tracking down a missing attorney and his legal assistant, nicknamed “Cinnamon.” However, when Easy finds Cinnamon he begins to question the motives and integrity of his employer. Also in this interview, Mosley addresses criticism regarding the strength and depth of his female characters.
