Meet my old friend Benedict. He is a jolly old fellow of 75 summers. He is still pretty active for an old fellow as is evidenced by the picture. This was not posed for. I caught him coming down from the hills one afternoon carrying the load of firewood which he had cut and gathered himself. I took him in about 3 years ago when he had no place to go. He has proved a grateful and willing hand at doing odd jobs around the house. He was baptized at Christmas 1935 and I don't think he has missed mass of communion shine then.
