Photographic portrait of Don Jose Antonio Pico II, and his son and namesake, Lieutenant Jose Arto Pico, [s.d.]. The two men can be seen on horseback at center, facing straight ahead. Don Jose is at right and has a short white beard. He is wearing a light-colored hat and a long-sleeved shirt. His son is at left and is wearing a dark hat and a dark vest. There is a wooden house in the background that is covered in vines and surrounded by other plants. There is a window beneath the peak of the roof at left. A wire fence encloses a yard in front of the house. The son was the older brother of Governor Pio Pico and General Andreas Pico.
