A pile of dirt on the right begins in the foreground and recedes in the background while the men stand to the left holding shovels. The ditch that will make a storm drain sits to the left and recedes into the background while the men stand on either side of it. Large cylindrical tubes of cement are lines up behind the men while houses are visible in the background to the left.
