Description
Blue Lodge Masonic Apron, white silk with light blue satin ruffled border. "Seeing Eye" surrounded by what appears to be rolled clouds and rays on flap. Masonic symbols including columns, sun, moon, beehive, balance, heart and key, swords, G Star, square, bible, anchor and otehr symbols printed on surface. Apron engraved and printed by Oliver T. Eddy and Lewis Roberson, Reading, VT. This object is very similar to the one featured on page 98 in "Bespangled, Painted and Embroidered", published by the Museum of Our National Heritage in Lexington, MA. Their example has different dimensions (15" x 12 1/2"), but is similar in almost every respect.
