Photograph caption dated February 11, 1928 partially reads, "Appoint Daily Staff - Jack A. Knauft, for the past year Los Angeles high school correspondent to The Evening Herald, entered upon new duties this week when he became editor the [sic] Blue and White, official publication at L.A.H.S." Note: Jack Adams Knauft, 15, competed in The Evening Herald's December 1927 extemporaneous oratorical contest.
