Photograph was edited for publication purposes Travel Town, an outdoor museum in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, was dedicated in 1952. The Southern Pacific Company, was willing to donate an obsolete locomotive to be the first train on exhibit. The Los Angeles City Recreation and Park Department's museum is visited each week by hundreds of youngsters and adults who are interested in the development of transportation. The focus of the museum is rail transportation, but other items are on display. Photograph caption dated April 28, 1954 reads "History as well as fun is offered at Travel Town, where such exhibits as this 92-year-old Border City Stage Line coach is on display free of charge. Coach, donated by Warner Brothers Studio where it was used in making of film 'Stagecoach,' will be refinished to show children earliest modes of transportation accurately."; See images #00121174 through #00121182 for all photos in this series.
