Photograph caption dated August 12, 1958 reads "Members of Rangers and Christian Commandos, Valley youth organization, are shown on 'Prayer Rocks' near Little Kern River during one of many mountain trips held throughout summer. Campers, from left, are: Lt. (jg) Gary Payne, Sylmar; Lt. (jg) Mike Harbold, Granada Hills; Lt. Ronnie Keith, San Fernando; Lt. Bill Eubanks, Pacoima; Lt. (jg) Larry Younkers, Pacoima; Lt. (jg) Bobby Hartz, Reseda, and Lt. (jg) Gary Younkers, Pacoima. Rangers organization is designed to train youngsters in high ideals and standards of moral character. About 300 teenage members represent 75 Valley schools." Little Kern River is in Tulare County, in California.
