Flooded area in the lower elevations and adjacent to the Sacramento River at Redding during the crest of the highest flood of record. The aggregate processing plant for Shasta Dam and the Kutras gravel deposit have been inundated. Note damage to conveyors and the crossing of the Redding-Coram conveyor. R. A. Midthun, Photo.
