Transcription: Breakdown of grass cover in this grass type by overgrazing and fire has resulted in greatly accelerated sheet and gully erosion of the coarse granular sedimentary formation. Chamise is invading these areas but gullying of the “bad land” type is not checked even by the brush cover. 22 miles NE of Lower Lake, Lake County, California.
