The Pacific Stronghold was built in 1958 by Vickers-Armstrongs Ltd. for service between the United Kingdom and the U.S. Pacific Coast. It was in service until January 3, 1974 when it was broken up in Whampoa, Singapore.
The Pacific Stronghold, a refrigerated cargo ship, and a harbor cruiser called the Shearwater in the Los Angeles Harbor, September 1968.
