Diakonskolen blev oprettet med støtte fra Diakonhøjskolens Diakonforbund, Danmark og begyndte sit virke i 1983. Pastor Morten Larsen blev den første leder af skolen. En række diakoner herfra har siden været ansat i DSMs sociale udviklingsprogram (BLM-D), og bl. a. arbejdet med skole- og lærlingeuddannelse

Nilphamari Deacon Training Centre in Harowa, Bangladesh, 1981. The Deacon Training Center was founded with funding from The Deacon Association of the Diaconal High School, Denmark. The education started from 1983, with Rev. Morten Larsen as the first principal. Later a number of deacons educated from this school, have been employed by BLM-D/Bangladesh Lutheran Mission–Danish, in areas as school-and vocational training programs.
