Photograph caption dated July 3, 1959 reads "Valley film scenarist Mildred Gordon, who writes mystery fiction in collaboration with her husband Gordon Gordon, displays another book of theirs that turned the 'hat trick' in the publishing field. Suspense novel, 'Captive,' was sold to all possible markets, including motion pictures." The Gordons, of Sherman Oaks, write mystery and suspense novels.
