Title transcribed from item. Signed on mount: "Frederick Monsen." Monsen's typed label on back says: "Hopi Indians of the Second Mesa, Hano, Painted Desert, Arizona. The first story of a Hopi house is generally used as a store house for corn, wood, etc. The living quarters are reached by ladders which even the smallest children negotiate with ease." [Note: Hano is actually on the First Mesa.]
