Photograph also used in article dated May 7, 1964. Photograph article dated December 17, 1963 partially reads, "Residents living at the bases of the Encino and Chatsworth reservoirs in the West Valley appear somewhat apprehensive in the wake of the Baldwin Hills disaster, but there is little thought of moving elsewhere. There were reactions ranging from nonchalance to outright concern among homeowners contacted by the Valley Times Monday. Most seemingly were convinced they face no danger, nor were they particular worried that the value of their property would decrease. Department of Water and Power officials also expressed confidence that a Baldwin Hills-type disaster is unlikely to occur in the West Valley."; See image #00129031 for additional photo in this series.
