View of the Dawn of Gold Pageant, held in Sacramento as part of the Golden Empire Centennial, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the arrival of John Sutter and the starting of the City of Sacramento. The Dawn of Gold Pageant was held in August 1939 at the Sacramento Stadium and featured 2,000 Sacramentans portaying the history of the Sacramento region.
