Description
Harvey Cox discusses his book, “When Jesus Came to Harvard.” He begins by explaining that the inspiration for the book originated from an undergraduate course he taught at Harvard about moral decision making called “Jesus and the Moral Life.” He shares how teaching the course taught him to appreciate the youth of today. Cox explores Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount” and explains that most people only know the beginning of it. He goes on to share that in his class he discussed modern figures that were influenced by Jesus and the morality of torture and discusses the reaction he received from his students regarding both topics. Later in the interview he explores the influence of John the Baptist on Jesus.
