Description
Part of set of thirty-four views of people in the streets during the street car strike of that began May 5, 1907; shows riot scenes, street blockades, street cars, police, strikers and crowds.
View 1 (2007-0090). Man apprehended in front of Merschen's paint store on Divisadero between Oak and Page Streets -- view 2 (2007-0091). Car strike 1907, blockading a street car. Strikers at Turk Street west of Webster Street blockading the United Railroads car 05 (horse carrying car) -- view 3 (2007-0092). Just after the riot at Turk, Market and Mason Streets -- view 4 (2007-0093). Crowd looking east on Turk near Fillmore Street -- view 5 (2007-0094). Street car barn at Oak and Broderick Streets -- view 6 (2007-0095). Interior of street car with conductor and megaphone -- view 7 (2007-0096). Street car and smoke on Eddy Street.
