Description
Children choose materials at the Marin City Branch, circa 1955. Established in 1942 in the Community Center building, pictured here, the library flourished by serving the community of the Marinship shipyard workers. The library was housed in the Rosa Building beginning in July, 1965. Then in 1968, it moved to the more central Manzanita Neighborhood Center. Today, the library is located in the Gateway Shopping Center.
