Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing the ruins of the Valencia Hotel, 1906. The hotel in the foreground on the left appears to have rocked off its foundation and now leans forward. Its roof has fallen into a pile of wood on the street below and its windows have busted out. The buildings down the street on the right appear to be relatively unharmed.
