Description
DeSilva Island beach near the north end of the Richardson Bay Bridge. Most historians believe Sir Francis Drake made landfall in Marin County with the Golden Hind in 1579. Many believe he landed at Point Reyes at Drakes Estero. At least one local historian believes Drake landed at this beach on De Silva Island.
