Photograph article dated December 2, 1948 partially reads, "Six additional motorcycle officers have been assigned to the Valley to keep pace with rapid growth of the area and attendant traffic problems. Lt. Lou Fuller, commanding the Valley traffic enforcement division, said the additional personnel brings to 42 the number of motor officers now on duty. The six, he said, were detached from duty elsewhere by Chief C. B. Horrall. As the need increases, more officers will be assigned to the Valley division, Lt. Fuller added. Aside from central headquarters, the Valley is the largest field of activity for motorcycle policemen in Los Angeles. The new officers, all Valley residents, are R. F. Chanslor, D. D. Cranmer, W. E. Higgs, A. Linebaugh, R. G. Lloyd and F. L. Lynch." Pictured, left to right, Lynch, Linebaugh, Chanslor, Fuller, Higgs, Lloyd and Cranmer.
