Photograph of the San Pedro breakwater being constructed, California, ca.1902. A long walkway of planks and rails extends and zigzags out to the right of the photo. A small shack can be seen on the bank where the planks begin. Further out, in the center and the at the end of the breakwater, the silhouettes of construction cranes are visible. Water stretches smooth and calm to either side.
