Three segments out of chronological order document the arrival of a polar bear to the Los Angeles zoo in Griffith Park. Footage of young woman in fur-hooded coat posing with polar bear in cage at the zoo, along with various officials - A.S. “Doc" Young and Maurice A. Machris among others. Feeding grapes and cantaloupe to bear. Footage of an S.A.S. airplane at the airport and the unloading of caged bear from plane and then loading it onto truck for transport to zoo. Various officials greeting plane, signing papers. S.A.S. flight attendant (stewardess) posing with bear; with Mr. M. Thornquist feeding meat to bear.
