Description
Photograph of a Shell Oil Company employee, ca.1940. The torso of a man can be seen on the right with a lightly-colored lab coat and large, dark gloves which gently handle the thin piece of machinery on the right. He's protected by a thick, dark apron and a shield for his face with dark straps that secure it to his face. He appears to manipulate the small device using an apparatus consisting of stained pipes and tiny, delicate dials.
