Photograph caption dated June 27, 1961 reads, "Construction is underway on the $250,000 Valley Beth Israel Synagogue, 13130 Roscoe Blvd., Sun Valley, with completion scheduled for next March. Attending the groundbreaking dedication are: David Lieber, left, dean of students of the Teacher's Institute, University of Judaism; Charley and Jack Forsch, sons of Louis Forsch, pictured at right, and his daughter, Mrs. Rose Roosevelt."
